Ahoy Club Announces the Successful Sale of Silent World
Yacht Overview
Delivered in 2014, Silent World is celebrated for her modern interior design and versatile outdoor living spaces, encompassing a gross tonnage of 361 GT. Her exterior design and naval architecture were created by YD&AS, while her interior was developed in-house by IAG Yachts.
The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms and underwent a major refit in 2020, followed by extensive interior and mechanical upgrades in 2021 and 2022. Enhancements included refreshed upholstery, cushions, carpeting, new exhaust systems, rebuilt generators, and servicing of stabilizers, ensuring both improved performance and updated aesthetics.
Inside, the open-plan main saloon provides generous seating and a refined dining area. The aft deck is ideally suited for alfresco dining, while the skylounge features a round card table, full bar, and spacious sofa. Guests can also enjoy the sun deck, designed for relaxation with panoramic views.
Powered by twin Caterpillar engines, Silent World cruises comfortably at 12 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 17 knots.
Accelerated and Complex Process
In addition to managing the sale, Mr. Croucher oversaw the vessel’s reclassification from RINA Pleasure Class to RINA Commercial Class, a process that typically takes six months but was completed in just two. This milestone was achieved thanks to Mr. Croucher’s deep knowledge of Italian yachts, gained during his time managing Riva in the United States, and his strong working relationship with RINA, supported by Brandon Kurtez.
Mr. Croucher also coordinated a major upgrade program at Bradford Marine, ensuring the vessel was fully modernized and technically sound to provide safe, efficient, and enjoyable service for years to come.
Recognition of Key Contributors
The successful conclusion of this transaction was made possible through the efforts of a dedicated team of professionals, including:
Peter Dawson, Dawson & Associates, acting for the buyer
Steven N. Hibbe, Esq., Villanueva & Hibbe, P.A.
Anthony Galea, AG Advisory, Malta, for expertise on flag and commercial registration
Tom Blampied, Citadel Insurance, for securing full insurance coverage on a short lead time
Commitment to Excellence
The sale of Silent World underscores Ahoy Club’s ability to deliver seamless brokerage transactions in highly complex circumstances. By bringing together technical oversight, legal expertise, and international logistics, Ahoy Club has ensured the vessel’s smooth transition into Mediterranean charter operations.
Statement from Benjamin Croucher
“A highly complex and challenging deal, considering the scope of work that was taken on. However, with the right team — patient, focused, and committed — everything came together seamlessly.”
— Benjamin Croucher, Ahoy Club
